Implementation of New CBBH Decisions Related to the Payment System Operations Starts

3/3/2017

March 3, 2017

Since 1 March, 2017, the implementation of the new Decision on Determining the Tariff Charges for Services provided by the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBH) began, as well as the implementation of the new Decision on Determining Operating Rules for Gyro Clearing.

By these decisions, that are motivated by the modernization of the payment system adjusted to the European Union directives, meaning introduction of SEPA format, in the Gyro Clearing system (payment transactions for banks up to KM 10,000), instead of so far three, there have been introduced four settlements, which allows to legal and physical entities more frequent processing of their payment orders during the day. Also, there are changes in the fee for performing of the payment transactions in the Gyro Clearing system, as follows:

  • for the first settlement: KM 0.20 per transaction (instead of former KM 0.10),

  • for the second settlement: KM 0.25 per transaction (instead of former KM 0.15),

  • for the third settlement: KM 0.30 per transaction (instead of former KM 0.20)

  • for the fourth settlement: KM 0.35 per transaction.

Also, instead of former KM 0.30, with the new Decision on Determining Charges for Services provided by the CBBH, the fee for access to the Central Registry of Credits (CRC) now amounts to BAM 1.00.

With these decisions we achieve more efficient valuation of payment system services (Gyro Clearing, Registers of Accounts, Registry of Credits, RTGS, SWIFT, EMTN…) related to the improvement and increase of quality and speed of service delivery, and through the planned extension of the payment system according to the recommendations from the Financial Stability Assessment Program (FSAP) of the international financial institutions.
