The inflow of direct foreign investments in BH during 2025 amounted to KM 1.41 billion

The inflow of direct foreign investments in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2025 amounted to KM 1.41 billion, according to data from the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBH), which published the results of a statistical survey on direct foreign investments for 2025.

In terms of geographical distribution, the largest inflow of investments in 2025 is from Germany (KM 271.6 million), followed by Serbia (KM 206.2 million) and Austria (KM 205.9 million).

Observed by activities, the most investments were realized in the area of ​​financial service activities in the amount of KM 427.3 million, then in the area of ​​retail trade in the amount of KM 176.2 million, and in the area of ​​wholesale trade KM 154.3 million.

At the end of 2025, the state of direct foreign investments amounted to KM 22.16 billion. This amount represents the result of investments in previous years, as well as the operations of foreign-owned companies. The largest amount of direct investments refers to Croatia (KM 3.26 billion), or 14.7% of total investments, Austria KM 3.13 billion, or 14.1% and Serbia (KM 3.03 billion) or 13.6%. If we look at the situation by activity, the most direct foreign investments are in the field of financial services (KM 4.73 billion), followed by wholesale trade (KM 2.14 billion) and telecommunications (KM 2.07 billion).

In accordance with the revision policy, and based on additional data collected in this year's research, together with the publication of data for 2025, data revisions were also made for the previous two years.
