CBBH publishes estimates of core inflation and inflation in the sector of services for August 2026 9/28/2026 Tweet On the basis of the available official statistics for consumer price indices in BH, and the relevant weights, the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBH) has estimated (LINK) the annual core inflation, for the first eight months of 2026, at 4.36%. The annual growth of average consumer prices in the sector of services has been estimated at 4.63%. The CBBH estimate of core inflation on the basis of official statistics is identical to our core inflation estimate from the September round of nowcasts, i.e. it is lower by only 0.3 bp. The levels of the annual core inflation and inflation in the sector of services, for the first eight months of 2026, have stayed at similar levels as in the previous year, confirming the persistence of domestic inflation pressures (Graph 1). The headline inflation trend is currently also under a significant impact of external factors due to rising energy prices in the international market and their spill-over to domestic prices.
