Senad Softic, Ph.D. is the New CBBH Governor

Newly elected Governing Board of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (the CBBH) has appointed Senada Softić, Ph.D. as the CBBH Governor for a term of six years.

Senad Softić, Ph.D. was elected at the session of the CBBH Governing Board, held on Tuesday, 11 August 2015, at which the newly appointed members of the Governing Board, Senad Softić,Ph.D., Kemal Kozarić, Ph.D., Ankica Kolobarić, Ms.C., Ljubiša Vladušić Ph.D. and Trivo Marinković Ms.C. officially took over their positions.

Senad Softić, Ph.D. replaced Kemal Kozarić, Ph.D. at the position of the CBBH Governor whose mandate expired on 11 August 2015. Newly appointed Governor, who is also the Chairman of the Governing Board, is Doctor of Economics, staff member of the School of Economics and Business, University of Sarajevo, with the title of part time professor. In the same time, he has been the Head of Master Studies at Sarajevo School of Economics and Business and Zagreb Faculty of Economics and Business, course of Crises Management.

Within his professional career, he was Deputy President of the Supervisory Board of Investment, later on, Development Bank of BH Federation. In his long time consulting experience, he participated as the author, co-author or manager in preparation of over 120 elaboration papers, projects and study papers from the different area of micro and macro economy (management, finances, banking, strategies, organization, development). Within his academic career, as author or co-author he participated in publication of 13 books and monographs. Also, as the author or co-author, he published around 30 scientific and expert papers in Collections, Journals and other publications, at seminars and symposiums.

Within two consecutive terms Kemal Kozarić Ph.D. performed the duty of the Governor since 2005, when he succeeded former Governor Peter Nicholl, and before that he had worked as a Vice Governor of the CBBH.
