The CBBH Warning on Misuse of its Name in the Email Spreading the Malware Code

The Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina informs the public that during the past few days there has been noted the circulation of a malware e-mail, arriving most frequently to the addresses of companies. The name of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina is misused is this email. 

In question is the e-mail, allegedly, of a private debt collector, Ivan Azeljković, from Banja Luka, demanding the transfer of funds from “all accounts of the debtors to a dedicated account of the debt collector” for the purpose of finality of the Court sentence. The text of the e-mail attachment contains the part referring to the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina, ordering the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina to transfer the funds, mentioned in the note. 

Herein, the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina informs the public that the content of the text has nothing to do with the Central Bank, nor its activities and warns the public that in question is email with the high-risk malware code, currently being spread via e-mail address [email protected]. We need to take in consideration the possibility that in future email of similar or the same content is distributed from other addresses in form of the attachment or link.
