During the meeting, which was held as part of the Belgian-Dutch Constituency meeting taking place in Luxembourg, they discussed the potentials of the strengthening inter-institutional cooperation, as well as topics of common interest, including the exchange of knowledge in the field of monetary policy, regulatory frameworks and the maintenance of the financial stability. Special emphasis was placed on supporting the European integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with an emphasis on the importance of harmonization with European Union standards and initiatives such as joining the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA). Governor Selimović emphasized the importance of developing international partnerships that can contribute to strengthening the stability and modernization of the financial system of Bosnia and Herzegovina. "Exchanging experiences with colleagues from European central banks, such as the Central Bank of Luxembourg, is of utmost importance to us. I believe that it is through such dialogues that we open up space for future cooperation and further strengthen our capacities in line with European Union standards," said Governor Jasmina Selimović, Ph.D. adding that the modalities of expanding mutual cooperation were discussed. The Central Bank of Luxembourg is one of the institutions participating in the project "Strengthening the Institutional Capacities of Western Balkans Central Banks ", within which a certain form of cooperation and exchange of knowledge has already been achieved with the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The meeting ended in a spirit of open dialogue and with both sides expressing their readiness to continue communication and exchange of experiences in areas of strategic importance for both institutions.
