During the meeting, they discussed current macroeconomic and monetary trends in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with Governor Selimović presenting the main indicators of monetary stability and emphasizing the importance of consistent implementation of the existing currency board as the foundation of confidence in the financial system. The importance of preserving the independence of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina was particularly emphasized, as a key factor for maintaining long-term stability and credibility of monetary policy, with Governor Selimović emphasizing that the independence of the CBBH remains unquestionable, and that it continues to represent one of the pillars of the country's financial security. In the context of European integration, the importance of continuing reform processes that contribute to harmonization with European Union standards was emphasized. In this sense, the support of the IMF, and in particular the European Department, plays a significant role in strengthening the capacities of institutions and facilitating the progress of Bosnia and Herzegovina on its European path. Governor Selimović thanked the IMF for its continued technical and analytical support, emphasizing that cooperation with this international institution is of particular importance for the further development and stability of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
