Strengthening Digital Security in the Financial Sector: CBBH Becomes a Regular Member of OSSAT 9/1/2025 Tweet The Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBH) has officially become a regular member of the international platform for exchanging security information in the area of digital security, the Operational Security Situational Awareness Teleconference (OSSAT). Membership in OSSAT for the CBBH was unanimously approved by all active members. OSSAT is an international platform established in 2012 by the European Central Bank (ECB) with the aim of exchanging information on cyber security in the financial sector. OSSAT brings together central banks, members of the European System of Central Banks (ESCB), the Bank for International Settlements (BIS), international financial institutions (IMF and World Bank) and CERT-EU security teams. By using this platform, relevant information on events in the field of cyber security and operational risks is exchanged between participants in the financial system, such as: - exchange of information on various incidents and threats to the information system related to the financial system, - establishment and development of a system for exchanging knowledge and experiences, - establishment of a system for strengthening preventive measures, with the aim of increasing the level of resilience of individual institutions, aiming to stability of the financial system as a whole. Membership in OSSAT opens up new opportunities for expanding cooperation at the international level, exchange of knowledge and mutual learning in the field of digital security, whose objective is strengthening the resilience of Bosnia and Herzegovina financial system.
