Governor Selimović at MoBizz Conference: Independence and Stability are Key Priorities of the CBBH 9/25/2025 Tweet On 25 September 2025, the Governor of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBH), Jasmina Selimović,Ph.D. attended the MoBizz conference, which was held in Mostar. The conference brought together numerous representatives of business community, banking sector and academic community and key economic issues and perspectives for the development of the market of Bosnia and Herzegovina were discussed. Governor Selimović participated in the panel discussion "Economic Developments in the Light of the Latest Global Events", during which, together with other participants, she analysed the current trends and challenges which the domestic and global economies are facing. Special focus was placed on global changes and their impact on BH, including the challenges caused by interest rates changes and inflationary pressures. In this context, the Governor presented the projections of economic trends in BH, as well as the ways in which the CBBH responds to such circumstances through its policies and measures, with the aim of acting in a timely manner and preserving stability. "The independence of the CBBH, as the supreme monetary authority, is an imperative and a priority of every country, including BH," stressed Governor Selimović. Taking into account monetary and financial stability, she added that global economic developments are also reflected in our country, therefore it is important that, through dialogue and exchange of views, we seek the best responses to challenges and preserve the basis for long-term development and prosperity of BH. The CBBH continuously follows up with the trends in the global markets and adjusts its operations accordingly in order to preserve the stability and strengthen the resilience of the domestic financial system.
