Governor Selimović met with the Governors of the National Banks of Moldova and North Macedonia 10/8/2025 Tweet Within the Annual Meeting of the Regional Project of Technical Assistance in Financial Education, being held in Sarajevo, in cooperation with the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and the Ministry of Finance of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Governor of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBH), Jasmina Selimović, Ph.D. had a meeting with the Governor of the National Bank of Moldova, Anca Dragu, and the Governor of the National Bank of the Republic of North Macedonia, Trajko Slaveski. During the meeting, they discussed the improvement of cooperation among the central banks, and also joint initiatives in the areas of financial stability, digitalization and strengthening financial literacy. A special focus was placed on current regional and European projects, including the activities related to the integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina into the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA), as well as the exchange of experiences in the implementation of modern payment systems and instruments increasing the financial market efficiency. The participants of the meeting agreed that there is a significant potential for future cooperation and exchange of knowledge among institutions, especially with regard to moving closer to European standards and promotion of financial inclusion. “Cooperation among central banks is key to strengthening the financial systems resilience and accelerating the European integration process. Through the exchange of experiences and joint projects, such as the SEPA integration, we are creating the foundations for a more modern, efficient and inclusive financial environment in the region,” Governor Selimović said.
