Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina Announces a Call for Papers 22.10.2025 Tweet In order to stimulate research and innovation in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the field of financial sector development, the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBH) announces a call for papers. Our aim is to act as a medium for dissemination of high-quality research in the area of financial sector development, by organizing rounds of seminars at which the selected research will be presented, and by publishing the papers on the CBBH website. Researchers from academic and policy-making institutions from Bosnia and Herzegovina and abroad are invited to submit the paper proposals. Interested authors should send their proposals for research papers electronically, in the form of concept notes for planned research or extended abstract for papers that are underway or finished, by e-mail to [email protected]. The deadline for the concept notes/extended abstract is 28 November 2025. After a blind review, the accepted authors will be notified no later than 10 December 2025 and requested to submit their full papers by 14 January 2026. The papers will be presented at a series of seminars in Sarajevo during the second half of January 2026. The mode of seminars, live/ webinar/ hybrid, will be decided at the later stage. If accepted, after addressing the reviewers’ comments, papers should be submitted for publication as a working paper at website of the CBBH by the end of February 2026. The papers submitted could be related to the following topics: (i) Banking; (ii) Nonbank finance; (iii) Capital markets; (iv) Financial system infrastructure; (v) Monetary policy; (vi) Household and business finance; (vii) Balance of payments, and; (viii) Economic activity. Papers submitted for this program shall not be submitted for publication elsewhere, either prior to submission or while under consideration at the CBBH. The Concept Notes shall include: Full name of all authors and the primary affiliation for each author (the institution where the majority of their work was done). Title and specific reference to the above topic(s). A short summary of the main idea of your proposal, rationale behind the research and expected conclusions. A concise description of the proposal, with defined research questions and objectives, data and methodology and tentative findings, if applicable. To be of maximum length of 800 words.
