The CBBH paid 184 million of profit into the BH budget

4/30/2026

On 30 April 2026, the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBH) transferred KM 184,420,439.90 to the account of the institution in charge of the budget of Bosnia and Herzegovina, i.e. the Ministry of Finance and Treasury of BH. The funds were paid on the basis of the allocation of a part of the CBBH net profit for 2025.

This payment represents one of the most significant individual revenues of the budget of the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, accounting for approximately 12.5% of its total amount. The CBBH thus confirms that, in addition to its key role in preserving monetary and financial stability, it is an important and reliable source of state budget revenues.

Positive business results further strengthen this role. During the last three years, the CBBH transferred KM 493,046,833.44 to the budget of the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is higher by KM 56,311,818.58, or 12.89% than in all the previous years since the allocation of net profit has been carried out. The transfer of funds to the state budget of the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina is carried out in accordance with Article 27 of the Law on the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The net profit of the CBBH in 2025 amounted to KM 307,367,399.84 as a result of stable and responsible management, with special attention on efficient management of foreign exchange reserves. Such an approach enables the preservation of stability, performing the safe and sustainable yields.

The CBBH will continue to implement a foreign exchange reserves management policy based on the principles of security, liquidity and, only then, profitability, in accordance with the legally defined goals and objectives, remaining a reliable support for the overall macroeconomic stability of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Confirmation of the credibility and professional work of the CBBH is also reflected in the fact that, yesterday, the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the House of Representatives of the BH Parliamentary Assembly adopted the CBBH Annual Report for 2025.
