The CBBH publishes the nowcast on core and the services sector inflations for April 2026

Based on the available, official statistical data for consumer price indices in BH, and the corresponding weights, the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBH) has estimated (LINK) the annual core inflation, for the first four months of 2026, at 4.40%. The annual growth of average consumer prices in the service sector is estimated at 5.64%. According to official statistical data, in April, compared to March, inflationary pressures strengthened in the price sections included in the calculation of core inflation.

The CBBH estimate of core inflation based on official statistical data is 19 bp higher than our estimate of core inflation from the March round of nowcast. The levels of annual core and inflation in the service sector, for the first four months of 2026, strengthened compared to the levels recorded for the entire previous year, which confirms the persistence of domestic inflationary pressures.
