Standard&Poor’s Confirmed Credit Rating of BH

9/14/2015

The international agency Standard and Poor's confirmed the credit rating of Bosnia and Herzegovina, B with stable outlook.

In the overview, analysts of this Agency say that the rating of Bosnia and Herzegovina is constrained by fragile institutions, the authorities of which are overlapping, weak fiscal management framework and its vulnerable external position arising from persistent current account deficit. There is an expectation that Bosnia and Herzegovina will continue to be supported by international finance support under certain conditions.

Analysts of this agency say that the credit rating could be lowered in case that Bosnia and Herzegovina does not ensure the timely external financing of its budget deficits. Raising of the credit rating could be considered in case of strengthening of the business environment, creating conditions for more sustainable growth and the better external performance of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
